House of Hope Rhode Island is a Christian interdenominational ministry. Our statement of faith — what we believe about God, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, the Bible, the Church, death and resurrection, and the state of our souls before and after salvation — is found below. Please address any questions using our “Contact Us!” page.
We believe there is one Living and true God, eternally existing in three Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
We believe in God the Father, Creator of heaven and earth.
We believe in Jesus Christ, His only begotten Son, Who is fully human and fully Divine. We believe in His Virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His atoning death on the cross for mankind, His bodily resurrection, His ascension into heaven at the right hand of the Father, and His personal return.
We believe in the Holy Spirit, Who baptizes all believers into the Body of Christ at the moment of salvation, Who indwells, sanctifies, instructs and empowers all believers for service and seals them to the day of redemption.
We believe that everyone who puts their faith in Jesus Christ is immediately placed by the Holy Spirit into one united spiritual Body, the church, of which Christ is the head. The purpose of the church is to worship and glorify God by loving others and sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ to the lost and by building its members up in the faith through instruction of the word, fellowship, and the ordinances.
We believe the Bible is the inspired, inerrant, living Word of God to man, which is able to renew the mind and change lives.
We believe the salvation of sinful man is accomplished by the power of the Holy Spirit through the Word of God when the sinner responds in faith and repents. This salvation is by God’s grace through the redeeming work of Jesus Christ and not on the basis of human works.
We believe in the resurrection of the body and life everlasting.
